Who are you?
Our cultural self helps to define our identity.
Who I am is influenced by my upbringing, my family, life experiences, education, relationships, work experiences, trauma, tragedy, successes and failures.
Is there a greater expectation for women to smile?
Do women have the same level of psychological safety as men? Always? Frustratingly there are still so many examples of women being treated differently.
Microaggressions and gaslighting
If we let bad behaviours ‘fly under the radar’, we become part of the problem.
Simple gestures
If we travel though life waiting for others to show respect before we do, all we will end up with is a stand-off.
2021, What a year!
This has been a busy year for Respect at Work, I delivered 147 training sessions, which equated to 346 training hours, to a total of 2087 participants.
Resilience
Research by the Black Dog Institute shows that enhanced resilience leads to a “significant improvement in job satisfaction, productivity and retention in the workplace.’
Daffodils, spring lambs, resilience and R U OK? Day
I want to work in a culture of resilience, but I also want compassion, understanding and check-ins.
Workplace Mediation

Personal accountability
It’s easy to get caught up complaining about the behaviour of others but how often do we shine the spotlight on own behaviour?
Coaching and Respectful Workplaces
Good coaching is an investment in people, and I see great coaching in workplaces that value and appreciate their staff.
Respect and Diversity
Our world will never stop being diverse, by investing in (and respecting) diversity and inclusion you are putting your best foot forward and staying ahead of the game.

Do your manager/s have the skills and training to deal with the bullying behaviours?
Where is your focus?
Be an active consumer of your workplace.
Walk around, have conversations, feel the vibe.
Are you listening?
It’s what happens AFTER the learning that makes the difference.
There is so much good information around at the moment but it’s only useful if you listen and apply it.
